CSPdWeek provides schools with the opportunity to build their own pathways for students to learn Computer Science (CS) across grades 9-12. A collection of workshops during the week of June 21 - 25, 2021 will help high schools satisfy the new legislation that requires an endorsed CS course in each school. Participants have the opportunity to attend the workshops in-person or virtually. During the summer of 2021 and in the summers to follow, there will be multiple opportunities for professional learning in CS. Below is a description of the 2021 CSPdWeek activities, as part of the Pathways for Alabama Computer Science (PACS). The goal is to build pathways of CS courses at schools over the four-year duration of our project. Schools may seek additional training over multiple summers to expand their CS pathway offerings.
In-Person Learning will take place at Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel and Conference Center at Capitol Hill.
